It was the end of November and by the end of the confetti throw I couldn’t feel my fingers! It was possibly the coldest and most wonderful wedding I’ve ever done. The wind kept throwing Jolene’s veil in the most perfect positions and we had a blast.
Wedding photography is never easy – but with these two it felt so relaxed and charming I couldn’t have asked for a nicer couple. Jolene and Rob were up for anything and everything. From the first time I met them for their engagement shoot I felt instantly connected with them.
Jolene & Rob were married in a beautiful old church at the top of the hill in Wisborough Green in Billinghurst. The flowers were stunning creating a beautiful arch out side the church and flowed all the way through to the ceremony spot.
The reception was held at Gate Street Barn near Guildford in Surrey. A fantastic venue with extensive grounds – not to mention the fire pits perfect for marshmallows and smores! The main reception room was filled with flowers and foliage to finish off the rustic feel. My favourite detail from their reception was that the tables were named after ‘Friends’ quotes – Paper, Snow, a Ghost!
There was a beautiful clear night so I was able to test out an astro shot that I have wanted to do for a long time. I always do a hero shot at the end of the night to round of the collection and give my couples something really special.
Jolene and Rob – your wedding was amazing and I hope that we stay friends because you are both top notch. Wishing you a lifetime of laughter and happiness together.
