This autumnal wedding was a real showstopper, filled with love and laughter
Hello! I’d love to tell you who I am and what I’m all about so here goes… My name is Amelia and I have been a wedding photographer for nearly ten years. I remember waking up on the morning of my first paid wedding and being utterly petrified that I was going to stuff it up. I was anxious, sweaty, jittery and an all-around mess. 10 years later – I wake up with JOY!
I know that we are going to have a fantastic day and that you get me, and I get you. There are many worries that can dampen your day and most of it is around the weather – and I’d like you to ask yourself why that anxiousness is there. It’s because of the photos. You want lovely photos! I can’t promise lovely weather but I can promise that I know what I’m doing and the weather doesn’t scare me.
In fact, from this moment on I don’t want you to worry about that – it’s my problem. I have a First Class Honours in Photography (not that it really matters) I just wanted to learn everything I could about photography. I’m not a tech nerd although my camera now feels like an extension of myself. I soon learnt through various projects and jobs that what makes me tick is people – more than that, couples.
I love seeing your progress through the years – I stay in touch with a lot of my couples through Instagram and it’s lovely to see your next steps together or even better I get invited back for other life events. I have shot over 300 weddings and counting as each week passes and each time I’m amazed at the personal stories and the way you met. It is without a doubt that I love my job and for as long as my body lets me I will continue to shoot love in all its forms, genders, and types.
Personally, I am self-confessed Dahlia addict, Type 1 Diabetic and can drink more tea than most people. I spend all of my time away from weddings in the garden. My happy place – consistently spending too much time on plant websites looking for things I’ve seen at weddings, people’s gardens or Monty on Gardeners World. Without a doubt, if I had to change careers I would be a gardener. I have a cat called Daffodil who is recently new addition to my household as a rescue from Battersea Cat’s Home. I also run a Girlguiding group for teenagers aged 14-19 in Egham – we often create campfires, go on long walks, and make weird and wonderful things and most recently the girls wanted to make refugee packages. I am so proud of my work with young people and they continue to amaze and ground me week after week. If you made it this far you know more about me than most and if any of that resonated with you then get in touch about your wedding day, family or even your products as I would love to hear about it.

A selection of the best images from Fresh Shoot Studios from 2018. Thank you to all my couples this year, and for inviting me to be a tiny part of your journey together.
I am very privileged to witness a couple’s happiest moments and capture them forever.
If you’re considering me as your photographer and want a feel of what you’re wedding photos could look like, here are some of my latest weddings.
Having had issues with our original photographer, we found Amelia quite last minute in our wedding planning. I was instantly put at ease the first time we met by her lovely persona, she had tonnes of photos and beautiful photo books to show me, I was totally sold!
A few weeks later we met up for our engagement shoot, something that Jack and I were a little nervous for as we had never done anything like this before. But again, instantly put at ease and felt so comfortable in front of the camera, even lying on the floor we were in our element! The engagement shoot is such a brilliant thing to do, to ease any nerves and it’s good practice for the big day, plus we had some really beautiful photos from it which made us so excited for our wedding ones.
Fast forward a few weeks to our wedding day and Amelia was a dream! From hair and make up in the morning to the hero shots at the end of the night, we never felt uncomfortable or like we were spending too much time away from guests, or that we had a camera in our face too much. We didn’t ask for it to be that way, Amelia just knows 🙂
We received our wedding photos a few weeks later, and Amelia advised us to sit and watch the slideshow together, it was like reliving our whole day all over! It was the best! We have had nothing but compliments from everyone at how gorgeous our photos are. Not only did we have the best day ever, but we have the best pictures to keep and cherish forever now too!
Honestly, I cannot say enough good things about our whole experience with Amelia.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you!!
read moreYour wedding day is a big deal; tonnes of family and friends, the love of your life, shed-loads of upfront planning. What blew us away with Amelia is that she totally gets that. She is so professional and calm organising your crazy relatives into formation, she captures your day in a way that makes you feel like she’s known you forever, and she sees the detail and the thought you’ve put into things and makes sure it’s all thoughtfully and beautifully captured.
Amelia has her eye on everything – she makes sure she delivers on a practical note (i.e. did we get that shot of Aunty Irene etc) but she is also so stunningly creative. She also is blooming’ lovely to be around, making everyone involved feel totally at ease in her capable hands and you’ll have a blast with her along the way 🙂
I work with photographers for a living and Fresh Shoot were something else. From first meeting, she attentively listened to our ideas, thoughts and hopes and reflected them back – but with her own beautiful ideas to enhance our own and bring the vision wholly to life. We were genuinely touched and astounded at our images. Your day is in very safe hands.

From our first meeting to the wedding day itself her communication was A*. Amelia made is feel incredibly comfortable around her and we got some amazing photos. We are immensely happy we chose her and would recommend her every time without hesitation.
If you’re not sure still take a look at her photos on her website and flick through Facebook, or drop her an email. She is very flexible on communication and will do what she can to work around the couples 🙂
Amelia is not only an amazing photographer but an amazing person. Her style of photography is simply fantastic and she has a real eye for capturing magical moments. She is incredibly lovely and makes you feel completely at ease throughout the whole time you are with her. We are so happy that we chose her as our wedding photographer. You won’t find anyone better for quality of photos, quantity of photos, fun and professionalism on your day and price! I really cannot recommend Amelia enough!
I would strongly recommend Amelia to anyone looking for a wedding photographer. Aside from being the loveliest person, Amelia is extremely talented. We have just received our wedding photos from her and we are ecstatic. They are so natural, creative and they captured the day perfectly. We had so much fun on our engagement shoot with Amelia (these photos were exceptional too) we knew we would put our complete trust in her on our special day, and boy did she deliver!
read moreWhen we were first looking for a wedding photographer we talked to lots of different ones but didn’t really get the feeling that they really wanted to take our photos. Amelia instantly stood out as being professional, approachable and more than willing to go the extra mile. She was so interested in finding out about us and our story.
Where others had been quite direct and hadn’t listened so much to what we wanted (instead they told us how they did things), Amelia listened and showed that she was flexible, creative and had lots of different ideas.
Her warm and friendly nature made it feel like we were talking to an old friend. When it came to our ‘engagement shoot’ we were a little terrified as we’re both a bit camera shy. Amelia chose an excellent location and instantly put us at ease. We had so much fun on the day and the photos were fantastic. We received them so quickly (digitally and some excellent prints too) and in the most wonderful package. It was like opening the best, personalised gift!
Before the wedding, we visited our venue together and Amelia shared her ideas and asked exactly what we were hoping for. We were very excited after this meeting and hearing all of her creative ideas.
On our wedding day, Amelia was simply incredible. She remembered my mum from our first meeting at the wedding fair at Epsom Racecourse.
From early morning ‘getting ready’ shots to sparklers and even a long exposure star shot at the end (we didn’t even know this could be done as part of a wedding shoot!). She is so very talented.
Throughout the day Amelia and her 2nd photographer, Roderick, made us so comfortable. Our guests all commented on how quickly they organised everyone, took photos and how friendly they were. You wouldn’t have even known they were there (in a good way!).
After just days Amelia sent a ‘few’ photos in our ‘sneak peek’. There were so many more than we expected and we were absolutely blown away. Every little detail had been captured, even looks, and expressions. They were certainly in the right place at the right time… always! The day goes so quickly and to be able to look back at these moments is simply wonderful.
The slideshow she created for us was magical and even had my husband in tears (he cries at nothing!!).
Our album was perfect. She sent us digital proofs to check we were happy and gave lots of suggestions to help us too.
We cannot thank Amelia enough. Her talents, creativity, quick responses to emails and calls… everything.
If you’re looking for a wedding photographer (or any other kind of photographer) to go the extra mile, bring creative ideas and produce the best quality photos, we recommend choosing Amelia. We will certainly be using her again in the future!
