On the corner of West Smithfield near Farringdon and St. Paul, during the week this area of London is buzzing with businessmen and women, but during the weekend it’s a tranquil place, almost deserted making St. Bart’s Brewery the perfect place to host your London wedding!

Kate & Gareth held their amazing wedding reception at the fantastic, St. Bart’s Brewery in London. Before heading to St. Bart’s they tied the knot at one of the most beautiful registry offices in London – Islington Town Hall.

You can be married at the beautiful Islington Town Hall before heading to this reception venue. Around St. Bart’s Brewery are some fantastic spots for your couple photographs, including the angel wings, St.Pauls and an enclosed garden next to an old church which is no longer in use.

Before you head to the venue, you also have the option to hire the gardens opposite St. Bart’s Brewery the perfect place for reception drinks and group photographs.

St Bart’s Brewery has a selection of craft beers, guest ales and own ciders from its Hush Heath Estate it has the perfect feel for a relaxed wedding. The food is probably the best wedding food I’ve ever had. The starter we were served while shooting gorgeous Kate and Gareth’s shindig was a platter of meats, cheeses, fruit, sausage rolls and runny scotch eggs it was heaven. The main was a delicious goat cheese tart, and other guests had steak or chicken which looked terrific. Now, it’s not often I get to have a three-course meal at a wedding (lovely, but not necessary) but to end was churros with a selection dipping sauce including chocolate, salted caramel and fudge. Wow, what a treat.

After the fantastic food, the opened up the gin bar, which you could personalise with strawberries, raspberries, apple, orange and different types of gin – safe to say it was a massive hit with all the guests!

Photographs often mention light – and this venue has buckets of fab light. It makes it perfect to create beautiful pictures. I love this venue, and I hope to work here again soon. Big thank you to all the staff who were super helpful and friendly during the day.

If you’re thinking about having your wedding here, you won’t regret it. It’s blooming perfect!
