Wilton’s Music Hall is a truly special venue. A few years ago Nina went to Wilton’s for a tour and vowed ‘one day I will get married here!’ Little did she know that her future husband James would have close connections with Wilton’s Music Hall. Wilton’s is the oldest and grandest music hall in the world and sits in the East End of London. Wilton’s Music Hall usually hosts a variety of theatre, dance and music but on the 4th August it played host to James and Nina’s wonderful wedding day.

To shoot in such a unique venue was a privilege. As a photographer it gave me the opportunity to get some really interesting shots and play with the low lighting. The venue was lit with theatre and festoon lighting it was a challenging venue but the atmosphere was incredible. A lighting technician was also available to help with anything that I needed to be lit well, as an old theatre it was prepared to deal with any dark spots.

Nina and James were married on the stage of the theatre before having reception drinks in the upstairs foyer. There are some lovely spots in and around this building, I was spoilt for choice as to where I should do their couple photographs. James and Nina were so natural with each other, that I didn’t have to direct to much. Therefore their couple photography could be much more relaxed. I love it most when you’re in the moment and just for a second you forget I’m there and enjoy those first moments as husband and wife.

Congratulations Nina and James, thank you for inviting me to be a part of your truly special and unique day. Love to you both and your family as you start your futures together.
