On a cold August day (classic English weather) I met with Zoe at Great Fosters. She expressed everything she had imagined for her wedding day. She spoke about Jack, what dress she was wearing and her excitement about her upcoming wedding day was infectious. I wanted to shoot her wedding day, I knew it would be spectacular, and I could already feel my creative juices buzzing. Having photographed weddings at Great Fosters very early in my photography career, I could not wait to get back there to show how far I’ve come in just a few short years.
When she said she wanted to book me, I did a little happy dance. Zoe was getting married at one of my favourite venues and she was lovely. I could tell that we’d get on from the very first meeting. I love my couples because they’re awesome humans that know how to love and create safe and inclusive spaces even for suppliers.
Zoe & Jack also opted to take part in an engagement shoot before the day. I love the engagement shoot as it’s the opportunity for them to get to know me before the day, address any areas that they have concerns and I get to push them a little further than I would on their wedding day. There isn’t a lot of time on your wedding day so getting to know them well without previously meeting is next to impossible. You can see Zoe & Jack’s engagement shoot here!
Then comes their glorious wedding day. The perfect November day, crisp and bright morning with no chance of rain. Zoe & Jack’s day was held on the 30th November 2018 at Great Fosters. Zoe had opted for a simple theme of white – she had white flowers, and the ceremony and reception were filled with gorgeous displays of white roses. Here’s a look at their beautiful Christmas wedding!
