Heather and Martin are a FANTASTIC couple. I met these two at the Epsom Downs Wedding Fair and I immediately had a connection with Heather. Her happiness and excitement practically knocked me off my feet.
The wedding took place in the little town of Ripley in Surrey. They were married in the local church with a simple service before heading to The Talbot Inn for their reception. The Talbot Inn is lovely little venue with a fantastic atmosphere. They decorated the outdoor space with massive balloons, including two amazing Mr & Mrs balloons. Not only this but as Martin is a seriously skilled carpenter he crafted a new bar for the venue which looked stunning on the day and will remain there as Terry’s bar in remembrance of his late uncle. They went above and beyond when it came to making their wedding look and feel personal; including the sneaky camels dotted around as this is where Martin proposed to Heather while in Egypt!
I knew from the moment I met these two what kind of feel I wanted their photographs to have, and that was fun. They are so expressive that it had to come across and show the true Heather & Martin. The way I approached this wedding was in a similar and relaxed style that I like to work in. I laughed with their guests, danced with the kids and sang with the waiters. It’s weddings like this that make me truly appreciate my job as a wedding photographer, as it is the best job in the world.
The Talbot Inn is quirky and a little different to the norm and the food is excellent even for the suppliers. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone thinking about getting married in Surrey.
Best moment: Heather’s happiness as she walked up the aisle to Martin and as she walked through the confetti tunnel! There are a few shots during the wedding that really express their absolute happiness and laughter, but these two were my favourites.
Congratulations Heather and Martin, I know that you will have a very long and happy life together. Big love from me as you head into the next stage of your lives together.
