Ellie & Patrick tied the knot at the most wonderful and unique wedding venue; honeybrook farm. I was lucky enough to second shoot with a good friend of mine at this amazing wedding. I wanted to second shoot as I’d never done it before and wanted to see how other photographers handle a wedding day.
Here’s what I learned:
- Second shooting is awesome – it gives you the ability to have no fear and shoot what you want. I learnt to take that attitude into my own weddings because I enjoy shooting so much more without fear.
- Weddings are great. They happen everyday to thousands of couple’s and the fact that I get to experience them is wonderful. It made me realise how much I love my job – even if I’m just second shooting.
- Wedding photography can be creative, emotional and stunning. Watching Rod do his thing and connecting with his couples on a different level. That makes them feel relaxed and trust in his absolute opinion on posing and what to do. That is what I took from watching him, and I hope that all my couple’s now would feel the same about me as a wedding photographer and friend.
Honeybrook farm is somewhere I can imagine myself getting married one day, you are surrounded by ducks and lots of other farmyard friends. I truly unique wedding day that I will not forget in a long time.
Congratulations Ellie and Patrick!
